Welcome to the NYSTRA website!

As NYSTRA President, I welcome you to NYSTRA, New York State's only professional organization whose primary mission is to promote and support Therapeutic Recreation.

NYSTRA is an organization of approximately 350 members who work with people of all ages in many different settings to provide therapeutic recreation services. We hope you'll take the time to explore our website and see the many opportunities Therapeutic Recreation has to offer.

NYSTRA announces our 12th annual multi-day conference, `THE POWER OF THERAPEUTIC RECREATION”, March 24-27, 2007, at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs, New York. Please join us for an exciting conference in beautiful Saratoga Springs. Our conference is a great opportunity to network, see old friends and colleagues, and learn about current practice in our field and to enjoy the recreational opportunities of Saratoga Springs.

I'd like to thank the NYSTRA Board and all NYSTRA members who have been involved in our organization for their hard work and commitment to NYSTRA and our profession.
