Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your President for 2005-2006. We have had a great decade, and we are looking toward a bright future!

NYSTRA is completely managed by volunteer members. The board members and committee members devote a great deal of their own time to run our organization, and they are an amazing group of people! If you ever have any information you need to pass along, or ideas for us to pursue, please do not hesitate to contact one of us. We are here to serve you. If you are interested in getting more involved in furthering the therapeutic recreation profession, call us right away! We are always looking for new people to help us grow.

Members, watch your email and regular mail for information regarding workshops and conferences throughout the state, and contact us if you would like to present, have a workshop request, or can host a workshop at your facility.

Lastly, our newsletter is member driven. Please share your wealth of knowledge with the rest of our members. Any member can submit an article for our newsletter. Our next deadline for the Fall edition is August 5, 2005.
