PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - 2003 Dear NYSTRA Members,
In the midst of the holiday season, I would like to wish you
all, on behalf of the board, a very happy, healthy and joyous
holiday season. At this time of year we are all so busy preparing
and giving to others through the services we provide, it is hard
to stop, take a breath and reflect on the gifts we are blessed
with. They are seen in the efforts our clients give towards goal
completion and activity involvement; in the songs sung to celebrate
the holidays of the season, in our co-workers as we all express
the holiday spirit by being a little more patient and open; and
by the sharing of our faiths and hope for a peaceful and healthy
New Year. May you all receive double what you give and find the
time to rest and relax, be re-energized, and enjoy a peaceful
heart, knowing you have made a difference in someone’s
life. Ours is a rewarding and giving profession that continues
to grow and evolve, reflecting a vital, necessary part of a quality
life. May 2004 be a year of quality in your professional as well
as your personal lives. NYSTRA will continue to try and be a
supportive service and link to improve your professional lives
as well as those of the clients we serve. A HAPPY & HEALTHY,
